Note to self that we're doing okay, even if it doesn't always feel that way.

it’s okay to take a break, even if you can keep going.
you don’t always have to test your limits - there’s no shame
in stopping long before you feel like you will break if you don’t,
in not choosing the hardest route if you don’t have to. it’s okay
to stop, even if you’ve already started down a certain path,
even if you’re almost at the destination. rest. there is strength
in remaining soft in a world that hardens you.

follow whatever makes you curious or brings you pleasure, even if
you’re not sure why it does and if it will last. even if it’s
seemingly not linear or rational or productive. take note of what
you find yourself doing in your spare time - honor it. invest in it.

it’s okay to fall down and not immediately get back up.
sometimes you will crumple and still bear the creases even
after you have uncrumpled yourself. you have not come out broken,
but different. it’s okay if it takes a long time to find your way forward
- it so often does.

stop comparing yourself to others. you don’t have to be any more
than you already are to earn the right to be happy.
