What to write in a thank you card

Writing thank you cards is such a simple, meaningful way to let someone know the impact they’ve had, and how much you appreciate them.

If you're not sure what to say, a simple, heartfelt note goes a long way. Here's a simple template you can use as a starting point:

Say hi:
Hi friend,

Tell them why you're writing:
I wanted to send a little note of gratitude your way.

Name specific examples of how they supported you:
Thank you for showing up at my door with food when you knew I was too tired to cook, and for keeping me company even when I wasn’t the most fun to be around.

Tell them how their actions made you feel:
It made me feel seen and supported during a really hard stretch, and reminded me that I could show up as my whole, messy self.

Include a wish for them:
Wishing you lots of joy and rest this holiday season.

Sign off:
Love,
Your friend

Happy writing!
Janine

P.S. Our thank you cards make it easy to share gratitude, joy, and connection—because none of us are doing this all alone, and the people who helped us along the way deserve a little extra love.
