This simple, beautiful Lunar New Year card is a nod to the popular Chinese New Year saying "Nian nian you yu" (年年有余), which which means "may you have prosperity every year." The word "yu" for prosperity sounds like the word for "fish," and so fish is often eaten during the new year.
