This card highlights Chinese dishes often enjoyed during Lunar New Year, each dish cleverly symbolizing auspicious wishes for the coming year: noodles signify longevity due to their shape, dumplings represent wealth with their resemblance to gold ingots, fish embodies prosperity because the Chinese word for fish, "yu," sounds like the word for prosperity, sweet glutinous balls known as "tang yuan" symbolize reunions, and oranges are associated with good luck. This card can be used to extend good wishes not only for the Lunar New Year but also for the calendar new year and birthdays, or any occasion where you'd like to wish the recipient a year filled with goodness.
