THIS WILL BE OUR YEAR.
This will be the year that we tell the ones we love that we love them, in no uncertain terms. And we keep telling them in all the love languages we know and new ones we have yet to discover. There will always be more work to be done, but we don't have infinite time together, so this year we're saying yes to coffee dates, dance parties, sleepovers, and neighborhood strolls. We're saying yes to spending as much time as we can with those who make it easy and safe to be fully ourselves.
This will be the year of breaking cycles and creating new patterns, of asking for help and accepting compliments. We're doing the the things that make us feel the most alive. We're chasing joy and embracing rest. We're healing.
There will be uncertainty and loss, and also love, calm, and growth. We're tipping the scales towards delight, whenever we can - one hug, one flower bloom, one home-cooked meal at a time.
This will be the year that we learn from the hard-earned lessons of the last. We're holding on over so tightly to each others, and then a bit tighter still.
